A new subcompact Mazda2 named that goes on sale this fall. Mazda will bring the smallest cars, Mazda2, to the North American market in the second half of 2010. Mazda 2 is the sibling of the next generation Ford Fiesta, which sold just before the Mazda2, but the similarities end there.

2011 Mazda2 will be offered only as a five-door hatchback, with a priority on the practicality of charging a fee. This will have a five seat belts for carrying three kids, and while individual six-foot-plus will match you will not have a quartet simultaneously.

With a short wheelbase, 98-inches, the Mazda2 will compete in the same segment with the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris. Try one of subcompacts and you may find the rear seat knee room is a pinch point.

Power will come from the Mazda 1.5-liter four-cylinder with five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmission options. We anticipate the power rating of around 105-115 horsepower, translating to a moderate acceleration and good fuel economy. An important part of the performance of the Mazda2 will be obtained from the effort to keep weight to a minimum without compromising security.

December 2009 revealed at the LA Auto Show, car body and wheels, 15 inches Mazda2 has been completed but not the interior. When CX-7 Mazda introduced in 2006, was in class by itself. It's sportier and more powerful than the fast-selling entry-level utility vehicles like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. But also more expensive, thus failing to attract many buyers. For the year 2010, Mazda hopes to overcome this problem by adding a new base engine and mark it with a lower sticker price. The CX-7 is now pricing in accordance with the best-seller in the category, and the sporty driving character that gave it a competitive advantage over similarly equipped rivals.

The 2010 Mazda CX-7 is offered in four trims: i SV, i Sport, s Touring and s Grand Touring. A 2.5-liter engine new base four-cylinder standard on the i trim, while stocks gain 2.3-liter turbocharged four carryover. The SV i come standard with cloth upholstery, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows, remote keyless entry, Multi-Information Display, AM / FM / CD stereo, an additional input jack and 17-inch alloy wheels. I Sport adds leather to the steering wheel and the shift key and is equipped with Bluetooth mobile phones and audio connectivity. S Touring get a power driver's seat, heated front seats, leather seats and 18-inch alloy wheels. Among the features standard on the s Grand Touring loaded automatic climate control, keyless access and starting, navigation system with rearview mirror camera, blind-spot monitoring system, a Bose Centerpoint surround sound audio system, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, a roof, automatic xenon lamp and 19-inch alloy wheels.
